So very sorry to hear about Colin's passing. I first met him in Tidworth when he came to the Recce Pln in 67. He was a Corporal then. I doubt if there was a smarter soldier than Colin in the entire army. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

I first met Colin when he was a Cpl in the Depot and where he stood out for his smartness.  I worked with Colin in later years at the Ski Hut in Steibis, Colin was a good guy and a good Rifleman who will be missed. RIP Colin.

Extremely sad news. As others have said, Colin was a great advertisement for the Royal Green Jackets, a very professional and extremely smart soldier. On top of that he was also a great guy who I am proud to call a friend.
Rest in Peace.
Sincere condolences to all the family.

Debbie & I were so saddened to hear of Colins passing. Yet again another great character leaves us but at least we all have great memories of him to keep alive (particularly those ridiculously smart bleached denims with sown in creases). Sincere condolances to all the family.

Sad to hear the news of Colin's passing - he was my Trg Plt Sgt at the Depot, Strict, smart but always ready with an encouraging remark when needed and instilled the ethos that us recruits were trying to get into the best regiment in the British Army.My sincere condolences to his family.

It is with extreme sadness to hear the passing of Colin. Has mentioned many times his smartness and turnout is legend. I can still picture him on an exercise on the Brecon Beacons pressing his wet denims with a hot mess tin. Our paths crossed many times over the years from Penang toTrg Cpls at Winchester Rifle Depot and on leaving the Army we both became Estate Wardens (FH&WS) where we would met up on the occasional EW courses. My sincere condolances to his family.
R.I.P mucker.
